So, I've been considering starting a blog for a while now. But like any other busy mother out there, I haven't taken the time to do it. But guess what kids...today I made the time!
My goal for this blog is that it will be a reputable resource for anyone looking to prepare healthier foods for their families.
Let me tell you a little about myself and what qualifies me to give advice on healthy eating. I am a registered and licensed dietitian. I have a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Foods. I practiced dietetics in the Houston Medical Center for seven years and currently own my own nutrition consulting firm. So that qualifies me to dole out nutrition tidbits... but, I am also a mother of 3 children who constantly challenge me over their meals and THAT qualifies me to dole out tips for feeding and fueling fit kids!
In the coming posts, I hope to tackle some of the struggles that plague most mothers...picky-eaters, meals on the go, what to pack for my kids lunch?, etc. If you have any specific topics that you would like me to address let me know.
Let's do this...
Snacks, snacks, snacks. My kids end up eating cereal or goldfish for after-school snack every day. I make them breakfast, lunch and dinner, so I can't bear to "prepare" a snack as well. Is an all-carb snack ok every day, considering the rest of their meals are balanced?

Way to go!
